    Default Golden-crowned Kinglet

This was taken last month around my house. The Kinglets are hard to get in the open and this was the cleanest image I could get. I removed a branch running through the tail and seperated the beak from the bud a little. I know the head angle is not ideal. All C&Cs are appreciated.

Like the unusual composition and the hint of golden crown. Another round of sharpening on the bird would help. I wish the head were turned slightly towards the viewer.

Thanks for the comments. I wish the HA was better too. Here is a repost with a little more sharpening.

Jim, Nice job with the image design and HH this one. Somewhere in between for me on the sharpening. Beautiful pose!

It s an amazing shot, and you did it handheld with the equipment shown? You must be a weight lifter. I find it full of detail and I love lighting. It is such a difficult little bird.

The repost made the difference. Overall I still find the image appealing despite the not so ideal HA. But in my opinion the kinglet was living its life not posing for your camera. :)

Jim, the hanging pose works well, and I liked the curved perch. Good BG, and your repost looks better.

Jim great activity captured here, I like the composition as is and maybe just the head sharpened a tiny bit in the first post. The head angle works well with this pose overall a fine image with good detail and background.
