    Default new canon 100-300L

Does anyone know if the new Canon 100-300L will work with the 1.4TC.

There is no new Canon 100-300. It's a 70-300. And it's not supposed to work with the 1.4x (no room for it at the base of the lens). People are just starting to receive them in the UK, so we'll get more info in the next couple of days.
Upcoming Workshops: Bosque del Apache 2019, Ecuador 2020 (details coming soon)

It's my understanding that the new 70-300L will not work with the Canon 1.4x because of the element protrusion in the Canon converter but it may work with third-party converters like the Kenkos

I understand that at the long end it is f5.6 so therefore even third party converters like the Kenko pro will not AF on non one series bodies. Should be OK on a 1 series Camera with a non Canon converter although not sure just how good it will AF.
