    The Rainbow Bee-eater is found throughout Australia but also in New Guinea as well as eastern Indonesia and Solomon Islands. Taken on a field trip as found.

    Really nice detail, exposure on bird. Eye is very good.

    If your sensibilities allow, could consider removing the one arching twig on the top right of the perch, and perhaps the one that intersects the tail. Another option would be to tone down their luminosity so they don't stand out so much.

    I like the spider web detail.

    The bird looks great and the perch is interesting. I agree with Randy's suggestion to tone down the brightness of the perch.

    Thanks Randy and Doug. Amazing how I missed the brightness of the twigs but you are absolutely correct.
    Randy: I toyed with cloning out that particular branch then abandoned it as the birds foot is across it at the beginning so left it.

    Hi Rod, the top branch doesn't bother me but the bottom one draws my eye out of the frame...my 2 cents. The bird is beautiful, sharp with a nice bg.

    Hi Rod, wish I could see these fellas on a local field trip. I like everything about the pic and it looks like you did a perfect job in harsh light.
