Pretty big crop. Around 40% of full frame. Wish I chose a little lower shooting angle to avoid head intersecting with horizon.

    Sid,

How many iremarkably good images have you got?

This is great, a wonderful pose with breaking surf in BG.

I also like the golden fur proof that depending on light polar bears are not always white.

Another excellent image with interesting bear behaviour.

Ken, I think it may be ice flow in the background?

Sid - Huge cuteness factor here. Interesting about the fur color. Love the pose and detail. I find myself wishing that the closest driftwood was not there as it is imho slightly distracting.

Not many Ken. Hitting the bottom of the bucket pretty soon. Not sure about the color. They are not white for sure. Golden fur is due to the dirt I guess. I saw only two cubs with this color and they both were very dirty.

    Hilary,
    thanks for the kind words.
It is surf and not Ice flow. Ice pack was around 30 miles from shore during that time of the year.

    Sid,

Thanks for your posts, we did see some slightly yellow Bears in Svalbard a couple of years ago, perhaps it was dirt, but it still makes for an interesting change.

gorgeous pose here Sid and very endearing. I don't mind the head cut by the horizon here as the crashing wave behind the bear acts as the main horizon for my tastes. I think another round of NR on the BG will improve overall IQ.

A great pose in great light Sid. Horizon doesn't bother me either.

Sid, a better pose you couldnt ask for, and I like the colours on the cub. Almost like this was captured in sweet light.
