Love the position of the subject in the frame along with the inclusion of the foliage along with a nicely blurred bg. Great head angle and the nesting material adds a lot to this image.
Stunning bird. Stunning sharpness. EXP perfect. Wing position nice and I like the placement of the bird in the frame.
Where?
ps: Nice branch!
pps: The merge of the branch with the foot was bad luck.

The white bird against the beautifully blurred multi-color background really does it for me. Sharp, well exposed. Wonderful!
thanks
Charles
This is wonderful. Love the bg too.
I love white birds against nice green foliage backgrounds. Beautiful composition and image here but to 2nd Artie, it would have been nice for the branch not to intersect the leg.
cheers
Gavin
Thanks Duane, Artie, Stuart, Charles, Alan and Gavin.
Arite,
Made at Long Key nature preserve Davie, Fl. Two great horned owls took residence there last season and pretty much killed all the chicks in the nests. According to park staff they are still residing there. We are not expecting a good season there this year.
How white is white Sid. Excellent exposure and sharpness, and that looks like a fair size piece of timber.
Sid, this is awesome. Loved the habitat bokeh and bird angle.
Wonderful image Sid love the how the habitat adds interest to the image without being a distraction

Nice shot! Good job handling the whites, good job capturing the egret in flight, great job catching the egret in flight AND with the stick! I also like your placement of the egret in the frame. Artie noticed the stick overlapping the foot, and that's unfortunate, but it wouldn't keep this shot out of my magazine (assuming I had one)!
A gorgeous shot Sid! I especially love the perch and full colours here! The BG is informative but not distracting and the I love the eye of the bird here. Excellent capture.
