Where you see the father & eaglet until Saturday morning there was a nest. The nest was blown down Friday night. Thankfully both eaglets could fly. It has taken a day or two for things to get back to kind of normal. But the eaglets are being feed & are doing fine. I took this late this afternoon with a hazy sky, but like it anyway. This eaglet is 12 weeks old & the same size as the adults. Nikon D300 200-400 +1.4,f5.6 cropped.

Great news that of survival! Birds can be such good parents sometimes :)
Great action, if a little steep. Maybe Shadow/Highlight can help a bit here.

    Diane:

I like the action. I think the lack of nest actually made this picture possible from this angle. Otherwise, the action would have been blocked by the nest.

Good to know the eaglets made it. I like the interaction and agree regarding S/H or curves to get more details in the shadows. I'm not sure about the light, could it be oversaturated?

Nice interaction and behaviour captured here - very captivating. Great that the young ones (and parents) were able to adapt to the loss of nest. A bit dark in the shadows.
