    The Gull seemed very keen to steal this morsel from the Egret but he didn't have the courage to try...

    Joel - I like the implied interaction between the two and the plummage on the Egret is beautiful. The Gull seems a little softer. It looks like you had some good reflections, any with the full Egret reflection?

    I really like the egret. The gull as mentioned above is unfortunately not sharp enough for me. I am not sure that you would have ever managed to get it into the dof, but increasing the iso to 800 and the ss to 1/600 would have allowed you to use f/11 which may have helped.

    The gull is soft since it was farther away and I didn't adjust quickly when it showed up in the scene. Here is a frame just a few seconds before the gull arrived...
