Hej Gus

I really like this image, wish I had birds like that in my garden!!! Very sharp body and head with the blurring of the wings showing their speed. There seems to be a little bit of a halo around the bill and the "cheek" which I guess could be from oversharpening.

The background complements the bird very nicely to my mind.

PS Are you originally from Sweden yourself or swedish ancestors ?

Hi Svante; Thanks for looking at my post. My Father & Mother met aboard the ship taking them to America and got married in Vancouver circa `23 having me in `24. Grew up with my Mother speaking more Swedish than English, she was from Malmo, Dad from Hudiksval. Have relatives in Stockholm & other parts of Sweden. Gus

love this - the really sharp bill and cheek and sharp little toes contrast so nicely with the blurred wings - the background is wonderful, though a little noisy on my monitor? but it has a nice texture that way. Wish we had some like him in our yard too.
