    Default Another Tricolored Heron

I decided to play around with an alternate Tricolored Heron image to see what I could come up with. For this one I have adjusted the composition without cropping and use a variety of quick masks and clone stamp to tidy up the imperfect reflection. I will try to post the original image in a reply immediately following this post.

    Nikon D200
    80-400 VR lens @ 400mm (effective = 600mm) (VR on - handheld)
    ISO 200
    f8 @ 1./250 sec.

    Look forward to all comments.

And here is the image as it was captured in camera with no adjustments other than sharpening on the heron.

You managed to do quite well with the PP. I think it's pretty appealing as the end result. The improvement if possible would be to get a little lower, but then you'd have more BG clutter perhaps with that muddy bank? Keep 'em coming mate. :)

Pose, crop and comp work well. I just find the water colour a little unatural.
