    Default Fonthill Castle

    Attached Images Attached Images

This image was created with Artie's 15mm fish-eye lens(surprise!) I was standing inside of the carriage house looking out of one of the old windows. I used Nik Color Efex and Topaz Adjust to process it. I really liked the unique look that the lens gave to the image. I converted the image to B&W but used a layer mask to reveal the color in the one pane.
This was my favorite image from our day at Fonthill.

Hi Denise, a superb fish-eye capture indeed. Also loved the others you posted on your blog too. Looks like a very photogenic location.

denise, wonderful view! Sort of a "nose to the glass" perspective. Great use of toning and color.
    Love the architecture.

Great use of the fisheye. The use of the color in the one pane makes it pop. Has a Victorian look.

    Denise,

Greeting. Oh, good eye on this one ;) The look is great... it reminds me of some of M. C. Escher's art (his work with spherical reflections). Very cool.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Superb rendering by the fisheye! Every new fisheye image you post makes me want one more, although your creative eye wouldn't come with it :( I really like your treatment too.

Beautiful work, Denise.Great use of selective desaturation. The scene in the colored pane looks like it could be a painting. Well done. :)

It's all been said above. I really like this perspective and that fisheye is pretty cool. Nice post processing job.

Denise, to me this looks like something from a fairy tale. I love the color and the perspective. I wonder how many fish eye lens will be bought soon:) After all, Christmas is right around the corner.

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
Cheryl, I know it's on my wish list- I might need to add that all of my fish-eye images were created using the Canon 5D which is a full frame sensor.:)

Denise, that may be the game changer:( Have you tried it with a 7D or 50D?

Cheryl, To get the full effect of a fish-eye lens you would need to use it with a full frame sensor camera:)

I really like the way you only have the color in the one window pane. Great look with the fish eye.
