    Hi Folks;

    Nippy morning, 50F, but enjoyed the company of this Cactus Wren and his chatter.

    Comments always welcome

    Great DOF and expression. I like the way you've left room for his gaze and eventual flight. The highlights on the face seem a bit harsh on my monitor.

    Gus, nice image! I like the framing and the perch. One of these guys has taken over my feeder this week!

    Gus, what a beauty! You've caught a great pose and the HA is slightly back from the focal plane but not by much.

    I tried a vertical crop as this seemed to be calling for it to me (just my opinion!) I ended up leaving him a bit too centered so moving him over a bit to the right might be better than what I have here if you decide to go vertical.

    I also toned down the log/perch a bit and ran NR on the BG after I blended out the darker area above his head.

    Looks great Julie. I like redos as a super learning tool.

    As the politicians say, "I approve this message."

    Thanks
