    Default Lens Cover

I am in the market for a lens cover for my Nikon 500 MM lens and wondering if the camouflage style or the plain black really makes a difference. For those who own the camo style have you noticed any advantage when shooting wildlife? Looking for every angle possible to increase success in the field.
    Thanks,
    Wayne

Try to get the Canon white for those cooler temp colors :)

I really wish someone would make an affordable plain forest green or light tan for the covers. $70-$110 is a bit pricey for some stitched rubber I think.

Are there any other cheaper alternatives to the Lenscoats?

I use camo duct tape. However this does not provide any protection, only breaks up the brightness of the Canon white lens.

Here in the uk a lot of photographers use a company called wildlifewatchingsuplies they do all the neoprene lens covers & I can testify they are good value or money. The company exports all over the world too.
