Three other photographers and I stood around in the cold wind shortly before sunset last night, hoping our local eagle would make an appearance. When he did, he didn't disappoint, making one pass right at us, and several looping turns. Unfortunately, he picked a moment when the sun was behind a large dark cloud; but it popped out from behind the cloud in time to light the bird's final pass.
