    Default Brown Pelican face profile

    Another one of the pelican shot. I like the HA in this one. What do you all think?

    Image looks sharp with excellent details, color looks good also, light seems pretty sweet as well. HA looks good to me. If there anything then I might go for DOF so the feather around the wing are more in focus.

    Bhushan, tack sharp where it counts, and I like the light on the pelican. With close ups like this, I try and get more DOF to cover areas like these long bills. You can sacrifice some ss, as the subject is not moving. I would try and selectively sharpen the tip of the bill. Still, a great image, and well captured.

    Lovely portrait, Bhushan. Agree with more DOF especially since you had plenty of SS to spare for this static subject.

    Stuart, thanks a lot for the compliments and the tips. I am heading back to Pt Aransas next month and will remember your tips.

    Sidharth, thanks a lot. Since this was taken handheld. I was a little scared to lower the SS. I will try better next time.
