    I shot this juvenile a few weeks ago. The light was just coming up and luckily (for me) caught the bird.

    D300s 600 VR with 1.4 tc
    1/1250 f7.1 +.3 EV

    Yes, down in the trough was not the best... The bird is a first winter. SH with a good EXP.

    Nice light and great pose. Agree about higher on the crest of a wave. Still looks pretty nice as is though. :)

    Good bird, comp, and low angle. AGree with placement within the wave, but still very nice overall. I wouldn't mind a bit deeper warmth to what looks like sweet light...
