Default Mongoose: Integrated Low Mount Arm

Is this a new product? Has anyone used it already? It provides not only a lower perspective but also addresses the concern of some about having to mount a heavy lens sideways with the Mongoose... JR

    Joerg:

Looks like their attempt to build a Wimberley V2. If it only adds 5 oz., why not build it 'correctly' in the first place.

Sorry, I am a satisfied Wimberley user, and have looked at the Mongoose also, but only as a low weight alternative.

    Cheers

Very interesting. This piece + the 3.6 model needed together cost more than the wimberly v2. Seems like both systems are pretty high priced.

Birds and wildlife photography (and perhaps sports photography also) are expensive. They figure if you don't mind paying thousand of dollars for expensive lenses, and keep buying expensive, up-to-date camera bodies, you likely don't mind paying a little bit more for a tripod head ;)

I wonder if using this mount (which looks easier to mount a lens) will make a difference when using thew flash extender?
