    Default Wet Head

I was glassing the Ottawa River looking for 3 Horned Grebes that were supposed to be cruising the area.
Out of nowhere came 5 Snow Buntings and landed on the rocky point I was on, tired and hungry.
I had to remove my 2x tc from my 500, they were just that close...
This little guy decided it was bath time....made quite a splash
    Thanks for looking

Beautiful Snow Bunting, great water drops and color reflected in the water. Nicely composed. Back of the bird is a bit soft, either dof (I doubt it, at f/13) or motion blur at 1/80s.

Nice! Glad you didn't have to come all the way over to the east end of the city to get these guys. The higher angle was actually advantageous here as we get a great view of the action of the water surface. I like the flying drops too...and their sharpness (combined with the bright sunny light) lead me to believe this was more than 1/80s.:) Some of the lighter whites could be tamed just a bit...

The little guy sure is enjoying his bath. Good to see the flying droplets, together with the bubbles in front of him. I agree, this higher angle works well.

Paul, the sights and sounds of those 100,000++ Snow Geese in Victoriaville is unlike anything I've experienced before. A must see.

...stay tuned for some images soon!

Beautiful image with no droplets across the eye. Head and face look sharp to me. I wish that you had been two or three feet to your right....

Nice action and the higher angle of view actually enhances the image. :)
