Very nice work Jim, I love the pose and detail. Sweet light and sky. They are a fierce hunter for such a small bird!

Love the light and the pose from the Kestrel...especially the fanned out tail. Some may say the lack of eye contact isn't ideal but I feel it works with this image knowing what it was doing at the time....hunting.

Jim, nicely done to catch this pose, and I think you composed very well for the direction he's looking.

Beautiful. I like the wing position, the spread tail, & especially the kestrel's intent look.

Like the tilt of the head and the wings. Like the way the tail feathers are fanned out as well.

Good hovering posture Jim, and I like the light and colours. Overall, good detail captured throughout.

Awesome hovering pose, and sweet light. I wish for a glimmer in the eye (catchlight or reflection), but all else looks great. A vertical with more room below would also work.

Soft, soft light. I wish only for the wings more fully spread and a better view of the face. Still stunning.
