    Here's another from South Texas. This fella was getting ready to hop down to a feeder table.

    Flash: On - 3 on bird and 1 on BG
    Metering mode: Multi-segment

    Beautiful Cardinal Glenn, Sharp details, beautiful background and colors. Perch intersects tail but we can't control everything. Excellent image!

    "Which ranch were you on?"

    I actually didnt visit any ranches in S.Texas. Based on my depressing graduate student bank account I decided to work the state parks instead. This image was taken in Bentsen Rio-Grande SP. They have a variety of feeders set up and with some patience and an eye for "the set up" can be worked very effectively.....and inexpensively :)

    Super comp, and excellent light and exposure. I just love the colours of this guy, and this is pin sharp too. Well captured.
