    pre sunrise... came across some shy hyenas, manage to capture a few frames before they ran off

    That is a sharp image for 1/125 second.

    Comp is a little central, though that does not bother me too much. Personally, I would prefer to have seen a shutter speed around 1/60 for more blur to the image.

    I'm not quite sure what you were trying to achieve here Peter with the techs you used? ie. ISO1600@f/16.
    As it is neither a sharp image nor an effective pan blur? Not at all meaning to be really critical, just wondering what your purpose was?

    Peter,

    I see the others point and wondering the same. I downloaded the image and sharpened it a lot (for affect) and removed halo at the head and ears. I will sharpen my bird blurs this way as well and like the affect. You can include the BG as I have done here as I like the look or selectively sharpen the animal only.

    I might try lightening the eye and nose as well.

    LOL.. i agree guys it is terrible..that is what happens when you stay up too late working and open a bottle of wine!!

    thanks for all the feedback, please never worry about me taking it the wrong way.. thick skin etc..
