    Default Tree Swallow

Taken about an hour before sunset on a late Spring evening, this Tree Swallow laid claim to a nest box along a millrace in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Image made with a Canon Rebel XT and 400mm f/5.6 lens.

    Welcome, Ed
This is a very nice image of a Tree Swallow. There's good detail, nice color and exposure and the singing is a bonus. You have done well with this one. The only suggestion I might make is to crop it into a vertical.

Hi Ed, I like the pose with the open beak Agree a vertical would turn a stronger image If you wish to leave it as horizontal would crop some from the back side !!!

    Hi Ed,

Nice image of this gorgeous little swallow. I agree with the vertical crop suggestion. You might also try a bit of shadow highlight on the bird to bring out a little bit more detail.
