Denise - I like this a lot. Great details and exposure. I might go a little tighter on the lhs. Looks like s/he was checking you out as much as you were checking him/her out. Which island was this on?

Rachel, Thanks, It was Gardner Bay, Hood Island. I didn't want to cut off it's flipper? I liked the hint of it curving out of sight.

Denise - your other left :). I too like the oof flipper on the rhs. My guess would have been Gardner Bay. That's such a fun place with great opportunities.

Nice composition & lighting Denise, with just the right amount of DOF.

Ha, I was searching for that flipper on the lhs and thought I was going mad. Love the facial expression on this sea lion … if it was a human I could almost see him twirling the moustache. Only thing is that the image looks a little flat on my monitor, but I don't have one of these super crisp new monitors so it may just be me.

Denise, nice sea-lion portrait. A beautiful animal. I think the composition is perfect. I think I would clone out the largest grain of sand under the lower jaw. It has a funny shape to it - doesn't really look like a grain of sand, maybe its a bit of sea shell. Hope I am not being too picky here. Well done!

Hey Denise, good eye to eye, between you and the sea lion. Just love the whiskers, and good detail all round.
