These are 2 of the 3 Amur/Siberian Tiger cubs born in May at the Bronx Zoo. This shot is much more my style than the one I posted yesterday.

    Canon 7D
    70-200 f4 @ 70mm
    1/1300
    f4
    ISO 400
Handheld through glass. Cropped a little all around. In retrospect, I should have stepped down the aperture on this shot.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

    Rachel

Great subjects but I would prefer to see the faces of both cubs

Rachel, I like the interaction. It seems like a lot of FG to me. Handheld through glass-you did great!!

Agree with Denise here. Would crop a tad of FG also.

Thanks Scott, Denise and Marc. Denise and Marc - I struggled with the crop for a while and agree it's too much fg but I liked the fg better than the bg and am not a fan of pano shots. I'll take another look.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

Here's a repost with less fg. I also boosted contrast a bit.

    Thanks,
    Rachel

I think you've done a terrific job through the glass and I prefer the crop. I am having trouble viewing images now, since the latest round of website changes … I have to scroll along the image to see the rhs so it becomes much harder to see it in its' entirety. :(

The repost is much better Rachel, both in terms of colour and composition IMHO. I like the interaction and you have done well shooting through glass with all it's pitfalls.

Nicely done and it's good to have a variety of shots both in terms of 'style' and content, don't get hung up about things, shoot for you and what you want to do & convey.

    Rachael,

You hit the nail on the head with the repost. It works excellently.
