Taken a while back in Cape Coral. After staying hidden for a while in his burrow, he finally flew up to the perch and posed nicely. Canon 20D, 1/500, f/5.6, 100-400 mm lens at 400.
Hi Cindy, I moved this here as the perch is man-made. The image is sharp and you did a nice job with the COMP including the afore-mentioned perch. I like how you were careful to include the three nails. The image looks very flat and would surely benefit from a Curves adjustment.

What a terrific pose......complete with the outstretched foot and that one talon up.......as if tapping his "toe". The look they give is always so animated and you are certainly getting just that. I like the composition and it's one of the nicest Burrowing Owl images that I've seen with one perched on a wooded cross. Well done.
