Default Taking Flight at Theresa Marsh

This image was taken at the Theresa Marsh, which is much smaller than Horicon but my favorite shooting location for the fall goose migration, as the area offers more concentrated flock images. On this trip however, there were very few geese found. While normally there are 2,000 – 5,000 geese, there were only about 40-50 in the flock this year. It appears we were early for the flock that had not migrated yet.

While the H.A. police will be up in arms, this is what it looks like when they take off in the early morning light.

Modification in CS4 included; Topaz Adjust, Topaz Detail, Curves and DAP Aquarell, as well as normal PS adjustments.

    Enjoy!

Hey Mark, I like the impressionist look to the scene. The birds neck and head ? are hard to figure out w/ the semi-circle area mixed in. I'm not concerned about the bird flying away as that seems to be the intention of the image- I just think either more or less detail on the bird might help. If that makes sense. I love the way the scene fades into the border.

Nice impressionist view, Mark. I like the colors and your framing. I am with Denise on having more details on the goose. TFS.
