This is another scene from "the Bosque", captured last November. DAP was used with the "Cezanne" preset as a starting point. I know there's not much detail, but this is supposed to be an impressionist style.

Kerry, I can see this picture with one of those ornate gold leaf frames on it hanging up in a nice office building. I like the way that you and the DAP filter rendered this.
I keep coming back and seeing/imagining more in this image. Wonderful painterly effect/preset (unique to me :)) , comp and subject, Kerry. TFS :)
Nice image and application, Kerry.
Detail is one thing that often suffers in DAP. But sometimes that is a benefit as well.
Nicely done.
Beautiful composition, Kerry. Love the colors here. I like as it is. A bit more definition of those cranes would have given a different mood altogether. Nicely done.
Kerry, this has a very nice effect to it. I like how you handled it. I think it would look nice printed large.
Autumn is all about color and this has color in spades! The reflection is beautiful. As I study everyones images and try to learn I have a question about composition. The main water line appears to be just a bit higher than middle line and the main tree starts from the middle point. My eye goes first to the center of the image (where the base of the tree is) and then starts to move around. Does the ROT fit in here somewhere? Does it have to?
I love the look and the colors. The placement of both the tree and the "horizon line" in the center bugs me. And, I gotta say it, the fact that both birds are facing away detracts as the bird on the right looks head-less and the bird on the left is not far behind it.

This is a lovely image, as much for the content, as the painting style. Good work...ditto on more definition, or maybe only one crane?

Thanks and yes, it lends itself well to wide images with a variety of long focal lengths.
