    Default Bald Eagle's Mating Part 2

    Another image to share from my first Bald Eagle mating encounter. I like the open beak in this one.
    Some cropping and branch cleaned up.
    Device: Nikon D90
    Lens: 300mm F/4D
    Focal Length: 420mm
    Focus Mode: AF-S
    AF-Area Mode: Dynamic
    Exposure
    Aperture: F/6.3
    Shutter Speed: 1/500s
    Exposure Mode: Manual

    Love the long light on this one but I think if you increased the gamma of the entire image it would present much more dramatically. This would also open up the shadow areas and you should be able to do so without too much noise showing up given that it was crated at ISO 200.

    I like the crop and the intense stare of the male.

    Bhushan, this is lovely! The head angles of both birds seem perfect to me in this one (as compared to your previous BE image). The light is just as gorgeous and that open bill is icing on the cake. The bird below even has an awkward and appropriately shy expression :)
    Like the crop; it makes the steep angle appear less steep to me. Nice work.

    Bhushan, Excellent interaction and the open beak of the male is special. I like the way framed this and I think that Jim has made a good suggestion. Great capture!:)

    Bhushan, just love the warm colours, and you have timed the 'action' nicely. Great wing stretch, and open beak, and your comp works well.
