Wonderful image, Mital! Bird is sharp with great colors and texture. I might have cropped this image to remove the tiny sliver of green BG at the LLC. Also, you might consider darkening or cloning out the lighter-green patches at the top left of the frame. These are minor nits, though - great photo.
Congrats on the new camera. The colors and lighting are lovely. Maybe just crop a little off the bottom for a little less of the thick part of the perch. Your entire cuckoo series is great. I was wondering, did you arrange this perch or just happen upon the cuckoo using this branch?
Neat bird, quite elongated! The vertical comp was the way to go - good call there. I agree in eliminating the small green triangle in LLC. Too bad this guy chose to perch on a sawed-off branch.
nancy it happened as the newly crop farm had 4 of these perches already set and the 8 of these cuckoos were just feasting the worms coming out of new cropped place in the morning. usually these cuckoos does not give such clean perches because of their shy nature at out region and thus this was the biggest luck we had to capture in such form ..
Mital, you had great luck--I'd pay a ransom to shoot cuckoos out in the open, as here. The inspiring thing is that you capitalized on the opportunity. Good job.
