    Beautiful light and bg. I like the open beak pose. For me, the perch seems to be a bit overpowering. A different and tighter crop may actually work better, IMHO. TFS.

    I agree that a tighter crop may improve the composition. That way the post won't be as overpowering and the second post will likely be out of view. The background goes great with this bird! I like the open beak as well. I've posted a re-cropped image, what do you think?

    Nicely captured, Willem with excellent detail and exposure. As already pointed out, the extra pole and size of the perch create some problems which Alvan at least partially solved in his repost.
