    Earlier this evening, I found two brown pelicans diving at a local pond. I made number of images and finally came upon this head twist as it dived down. The settings were -

    7D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 313mm handheld
    1/2500 sec, f/8 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: -2/3 ISO: 800

    Adjusted selective colors for the sky. Applied usm on the final web version. Your c&c will be appreciated.

    I like the pose and how the light strikes the turned cheek. Well done Indy. :)

    Indranil, I love the pose and the way you have framed this. The near wing looks a little soft. I love the way the head is angled towards you. Nicely done.

    Like the position of the bird and the head angle. Also like how the light is hitting right on the head.

    Indranil, I like the way you framed this. The HA works very well with the light.TFS.
