We just returned from a trip to the Midwest and spent a day at Horicon NWR and Theresa Marsh, in hopes of seeing some of the over 250,000 geese that are normally there for their fall migration. Unfortunately, they had not arrived as of 10/14. Some told us it was due to the warm summer. We also missed the fall colors there by about a week, but some color was still available.

Having grown up in the area, it was a disappointment to miss the geese. But it's not a zoo. They come and go when they desire and need to.

Just to advise those who may be heading that way. Check with the NWR rangers, before expecting to see them, if you can.
