Sweet BG and wonderful exposure. Love the rim light created here.

    Dudley:

Really nice BG as Joe mentioned. I like the comp, backlighting. Wish the perch wasn't cut off at the end.
I might tone down a few of the specular highlights, esp. in front of the bird.

I am thinking that just a touch of fill flash to bring up the eye here would have been interesting.
I find backlit images a challenge to get the right balance of rim lighting and visible detail on the face/body.

Thanks for sharing and for your support of BPN through your memebership.

    Cheers

Very nice background and subject compliments the BG colours.

Loved the backlit effect and the warm pallete. Terrific plumage too. Well done.

lovely BG colours and light here Dudley...I hear what Randy is saying and might be tempted to darken this image somewhat, make it more moody?

Lovely image. The bg and colors are great. Perch could be better, if it was not cut--but that is what it was on.
