    Default Wild Dog

    The pack (six adults, four pups) this dog is a member of made kills each morning and each evening during the 4 days I was at this property, hence the blood. Compared to cats I find them quite difficult to get good portraits. This was one of the few times they stood still long enough....

    Welcome Gary, I don't think you need to pay for a subscription to post images. Lots of people post images as forum participants. Perhaps someone will advise.

    Welcome Gary, and what a nice shot to start posting with. I liked the catchlight, the light on the dog, and the alert posture, as well as nice upright ears. I would have used a higher iso like 400, to enable a f5.6 aperture, to try get all of the dog sharp including the tail. You did well with a subject that I have never found easy to photograph effectively.
