    Default Hooded Merganser

    Lucky!

    This bird is usually very wild. That day, they were nor so far from the shore and the light was great.

    looking for any comments

    Very nice, Patrice! Exposure and colors are spot on, not an easy task with a bird with both black and white patches (I never seem to get it right!). I like the pastel blue water, and the way the light-brown ripples match the brown on the bird. I wouldn't mind a bit more room on the right side, but that is a minor point.

    I think a good balance in the exposure between whites and darks. The eye looks a bit soft, so perhaps a bit more sharpening will bring it up.

    Love this species and the EXP and light are good. The bird is angled away from you and the does not look at all sharp. I also love the colors and patterns in the water but not the dark spots.
