    Beautiful image, Katie. Sharp and well-exposed. I like the perch and the BG, which contrast nicely with the whites and greys of the bird's body.

    Did you run NR on the image? There seems to be a slight smoothing of feather detail; NR is notorious for over-smoothing feathers.

    Hi Katie. Really nice sharpness and you handled the exposure very well considering the contrast between the birds black head and the very dark BG! I like the eye contact also. The wing is a little close the left edge for me and the wing positions are not the most beautiful but overall a nice job!

    That eyering really stands out...nice!! Beautiful gull, and its pops nicely against the dark BG (good job on the exposure BTW!). I do wish the far wing was open more to clear the primaries from the body.

    Nice job with the EXP, sharp as can be, and a great bird in a neat pose. I wish that the far wing were raised a bit more and I'd bet that you do to :)
