    This shot was taken in the Galapagos this July on the BAA "tour of a lifetime". I had been shooting birds and sea lions all afternoon when I noticed the backlit waves breaking against the shore. Slight crop, exposure and black level adjustment. As always, let me know what you think.

    Canon 1D IV, 800 f5.6 with 1.4 II TC, iso 800, f8, 1/2000

    Very nice composition, Patrick. Gorgeous light and the graduated bg really makes it open up well. TFS.

    Patrick, I like it too. The colors and lighting are lovely as mentioned above. The water has a pearlized look to it.

    Hi Patrick, I love the compositional elements of the action and light source being concentrated in the LLC. Very nice capture and good quick thinking to see the situation before you. What a great opportunity you had to make this trip! Would love to see other images from it. :cool:

    I like it but for the bit of what looks like circular flare upper right center. Interesting that the water in the llc is shaded by parts of the wave.
