    At high tide , Wolfville, NS. I applied a little selective sharpening to the bird, particularly the head, and blurred the bg of muddy waves using Noise Ninja, as well as desaturating it a little.

    D300, 300 f/4AF-S + 1.4TC, 1/640, f/8, ISO 400, tripod with video head.

    Good point by Peter. Light looks like it was harsh, but dealt with accordingly. Good job overall.

    I just find the subject a bit greenish so I added some magenta in Color Balance (you could do this selctively to the plover only if you prefer the water in the original). Quick and dirty job to show the difference on the bird...

    Very nice Richard, I like the way the bird is posed on the rock here.
