Image created about 8:30 on Plymouth Long Beach in MA.
Counted 112 juvy Red Knots that morning with one very worn adult. Most have already begun putting on the required fat for their trip south.
One of the few clean areas of beach on the outgoing tide, so no cleanup was required. Did remove 2 specular highlights on the bill.
Nikon D300s, 600VR, TC14EII, f7.1 (close range, required to get bother head and tail in focus), ISO 640, 1/2000, CW metering, NearUniWB, +1 EV applied.
What more could you ask for from a shorebird image? I would love to have a chance at these guys someday. Perfect techs, and the low angle, pose, and BG are all great. IMO it could use a slight contrast boost.
