    Hi

    Captured whilst walking in the Ria Formosa Park;late evening light.

    Canon 40D 100-400 @ 390 HANDHELD
    F 5.6 SS 1/320 ISO 400 Ev +.67
    Sharpen and NR in CR with some additional selective sharpening in CS5

    Bird looks sharp and well exposed. Really like the perch too. I would have liked the bird higher in the frame.
    Was some treatment applied to the background. Can't tell if it needs NR or if it has some kind of blur applied to it.

    This one is very nice Richard, sharp with a good EXP and a nice head angle. The BKGR does look as if it could use some noise reduction. The stalk immediately in front of the bird is a distraction for me. If you could have moved well right you might have opened up some space between the bird and that stalk and effectively moved the stalk to the right side of the frame. All in all well done.

    I like this one too Richard, nice sharp bird and good pose . I also like the composition with the OOF plants in the background. Another vote for more noise reduction on the background.
