BG and HA excellent as well as the choice of perch. Love it when relatively common bird gets an "artistic" treatment as this one has. The 2 soft berries towards the end of the branch bother me. Is it my monitor or are those sharpening halos on sides and flanks?

Jonathan, I like the composition, pose, and particularly the BK. Nice image.

Not too sure where the halos are that you refer to - you may of course be quite right, I processed this very much the same as I would have a shot rated at 200-400 ISO - although I did use Topaz denoise5. Perhaps I should have sharpened less than I did?? I respect your comments regarding the berries, but the berries are not of any great concern to me as the shot is of the bird, from my perspective the berries are purely complimentary and nothing more. I suppose the question is are they complimentary or a distraction, different people will have different viewpoints. Nevertheless I thank you for your C&C.

Very nice perch with the berries, and the bird is placed well in the frame. I love the background colors.
