Default Wild Dog - Hyaena interaction

Have just spent a month in Botswana and had some pretty intense dog viewing. The Delta is under water and a number of animals are hiding in the thickets. Photographic opportunities were a little limited by these factors.

The Kwando concession is well known for its high Hyena population, constantly trailing the dogs. After an initial fight, the Selinda pack gave way on their kill.

Hi Russell, any interaction between these two carnivores makes for exciting viewing, and your shot shows some of that. The dogs running on the rhs, the hyena poised over the carcass, and the dogs on the lhs with their tails held aloft, and aggressive postures. I dont know what you have cropped off here but for me having the top of the trees included might be nice. Well done and thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for all your comments.

Grant, unfortunately the top of the trees are not in the frame. I have cropped from the from bottom to take away the dead foreground.
