    Default swimming with fish

While kayaking this osprey went for lunch in front of the boat. The fish is a crappie weighing a couple of lbs.

    Daniel:

the big question is: Did he manage to take off with it?

Nice colors in the image, a very uncommon pose to see him down in the water so far.
The image quality seems a bit soft, how big of crop is this?
It looks like it could stand a CCW rotation to level the bird in the water. You can use the ripples as a guide about how much to rotate it.

Great moment captured. Do you have others in the series?

I think I surprised him because he attempted to take off with the crappie and then saw me. He did a 360 and flew directly overhead
as if to show his displeasure of missing lunch. He probably came back when I left. I shot about twenty exposures of the action which are sharper than the posted image.I didn't have time to set up the shot, I just reacted as quick as I could without taking a swim.
Thanks so much for your comments!
