After being taunted by these guys during an all day hike, one finally gave me a chance to take a photo as I headed back to the trailhead. 7D, 400DO +1.4xTC, f6.3, 1/250s, ISO 800, +2/3 EC, tripod, MLU, cable release, full frame.

I like this a lot Steve. Great detail & colour with a cracking BG to compliment everything. The granite (?) is a nice setting, all marbled & textured compared to the smooth warm tones of the BG. I just wish that the body wasn't slightly obscured by the rock, but guess that's being picky. :D

    Steve,

I would have to say this is the best image of one of these guys I have seen. I like that he is posed in the shape of a ball. THe lines of the rock perch frame him well. Plus a soft, clean BG.

Great image! Nice detail in the pika and I like the color in the background. Also like the fact the pika and rock is sharp.

Hey Steve, nicely framed in the recess of the rock, and how are those BG colours. You have captured good detail, and just love those ears. Glad your hike was worth it. Cheers.
