    Just a fantastic image, Alan. Wonderful sharpness and detail, but the image also has a smooth quality that is very pleasing to the eye. As Andrew and Randy already said, the open bill puts this photo over the top.

    How do you get this close to your subjects using just a 300mm lens? Are you flying next to them when you take the picture?:D

    Alan I enjoy your flight shots and this one is no exception. Like the spread tail and wings with wonderful feather detail, eye contact and open beak. I am also interested that you got so close with the 300mm.
