    Default Weekly Theme: Jetty Fract

It's certainly been a while since I've been able to post in the weekly theme category, but I had this image from earlier this year. The original was shot with a .3 shutter speed to blur the wave action. I had used topaz detail to bring up some detail in the rocks and then applied the fract filter.

The frac effect on the water is very cool, colors and comp make this a pleasing image, not sure about the tan diagonal at the front but thats just me....TFS

Dave, I like the fract work too. It has a nice flow to it. I'm back and forth about the sand. I do love the colors of the rocks and waves. Nice to see you posting again.:)

Dave, I like the effect the fract has on the water. I'd like this without the sand as well as this presentation. I'm glad to see you posting.:)

Thanks Paul, Denise, and Cheryl. I see your point on the sand and tidal wash debri. It didn't seem as distracting in the original image, but the fract really seems to pop it out, now that you mentioned it. I'll revisit to consider some crop options.

Hi Dave, I like this fracting too - very cool. Reminds me of a plant that grows wild in California called "dodder". The ocean horizon in the top of the image really works well to frame the rocks and shore.

Thanks Kerry. I really wish I could get more time to do these OOTB images. Posting and just reading comments here has really raised my knowledge, and hopefully skill level, although I still don't consider myself on the same level as most here. It's cool to see how many imaginative creations are made from the weekly themes. They might not all be our cup of tea, but each one shows us a new interpretation. Thanks again to all.
