    Default Mallard in Flight

    Lasalle Marina, Burlington Ontario, Canada

    Nikon D300 ,Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S VR
    1/2000s f/4.0 at 400.0mm iso200
hand held, natural light, vertical crop, levels, sharpening

It's funny, a short while ago I was sifting through my website, and realized I have few good images of Mallards... most common duck around here.. so, I take my opportunities these days, and see if I can help improve the gallery of Mallards.

Very nicely executed. Love that speculum. Wish only for a bit more of a dorsal-revealing bank on the duck's part.

    Later and love,

Lovely shot, Raymond. I love the pose and sharpness - you can almost hear the air moving through the feathers

I like the pose, composition and eye contact. I only wish for a bit head/wing separation.
