Default Angry Skies Over Notre Dame

Shot this a few years ago while I was in Paris for 4 days. The weather was very changeable and was lucky to get a bit of light to hit the cathedral.
Played around in Photomatix and Nik to get the desired effect...

Dave, the cathedral and foilage are lovely! I feel the sky is a bit heavy in the grays but that's just my humble opinion. I think your choice of HDR for these is definitely the way to go - it really gives them that old world feel to them!

Hey Dave, I really like the look of the sky and the Cathedral but the foliage looks a bit too bright for my tastes. Maybe try desaturating or adding some black to the yellows in the trees. Nice comp and as Jules' said, HDR works well on this type of subject.

This is beautiful, Dave. I like the perspective how the Cathedral sits in the backdrop of a stormy sky. Nice HDR work.

Great point of view. I think that if you darken the lower edge of the frame and the lower right side, the image will be better balanced. I would try to desaturate the yellows, this sky calls for more blueish tints.

Excellent stuff, Dave. HDR works very well here.
