    Default Yellow and Green....

    Attached Images Attached Images

Denise and I created tons of blurs on our Wyoming trip, including a few pleasing ones.

This image was created with the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens (handheld at 192mm) with the EOS-1D Mark IV. ISO 100. Evaluative metering +1 stop: 1/5 sec. at f/8.

I always create lots of images when doing vertical pan blurs in an attempt to get a nice strip of color below the bottom of the trunks to anchor the image.

Don't be shy; all comments welcome.

Artie, When I saw the trees you had been working on I knew that the colors would yield a lovely blur. Just the right amount of flow to this one.

    Hey Artie,
This truly is a very pleasing blur. The colors and the amount of the blur are just perfect! Looks like a painting.

Love the impressionistic look to this one Artie. The colors are fantastic and the amount of blur is quite nice. I really like the way the white trunks emphasize the vertical element of the panning. I love the color rendition of that lens, which makes it worth the weight in my book, and it is a heavy one.

    Artie,

Greetings. The strip at the bottom makes the image for me along with the pattern of the tree trunks (birches?) & the great color. I like this one a lot.

    Grasses form the base?

    Cheers,

Perfect match of colours from the silvery trunks to the contrasting banks of trees. Blurs still make me a bit dizzy, but this is very pleasing and I think the beautiful colours are what catches my eye most.

Thanks all for you kind comments. Kerry, I am gonna borrow the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS L II again for my San Diego/Bosque trip. If I can make sharp flight images with it and the 2X II TC I will buy one.

Very nice combo with the yellow and green, the amount of blur looks good.

Looks like you read the Blur Guide, cover to cover :D. This is just the right amount of blur, where you don't lose all the details, ya gotta love fall colors...TFS

Artie, I love the colors and especially the trunks in a random pattern at the base instead of a straight line. I also like the amount of blur on the birches compared to what looks to me like a little less blur in the conifers.

Very nice blur Arthur. Love the colors and the vertical lines created by those Aspen trunks. Let me know how the 70-200 with 2X works. I have been contemplating that combo with the new Nikon 70-200 and 2X.

I've heard good things about the new Nikon 2X TCs. They have been very bad for years.

Excellent blur, Artie! I love everything about it, the layers of colors, the white tree trunks, the amount of blur. Very well done!
