    Default Oystercatcher preening

Hi All, Here's my second post, another shorebird from Ft. DeSoto last weekend. I was actually lying on my stomach in about three inches of water to get this but feel the image was worth getting a little wet :) Cheers, Jack

    Jack,

I can totally relate to laying in water, and with the past couple of days we've had here in the bay area, no way will I be out there!!!

I'm thinking this might be better as a vertical composition, for I would really like to see more of this little ones reflection in the wet sand. Otherwise, this is a great find, and one of my favorites to photograph too!!!

    Hi Jack,

What a lovely pose. The details and exposure are very well done. I would like to see the bird just a hair more off center. The BG and low angle makes this image very strong. Very nice work!

    BTW,

I would hate for anyone to take advantage of this image. Try to add your copy rights next time.

    Hi there, my friend,

Quality shows and you really have a talent fo this :)

My only suggestion, as Maxis already pointed out, would to move the bird to the left a little more.

    Looking good!!!!

Hope to see you soon :)

Hi Jack beautifully captured with excellent detail in the blacks and wonderful lighting and the low angle makes it for me. I agree about moving it a little more to the left but very lovely work !!!

Excellent details and lighting. Love the low angle as well. I would not move the bird as others have sugested. Thanx for sharing.

Great exposure on this Jack. Looks a bit centered to me though.
