Or daughters. Not far from my place, this little Aussie battler built a nest near a public area. It is easy to photograph by standing on a tree in the water itself. A rather cute bird with lots of character. The pair are raising four chicks and all are happy as I type today. Will visit again tomorrow morning. Captured this image on Sunday, today there was rain and more rain. :(

Hey Bro, nicely framed in the fork of the tree, and great flashwork to bring out the blue iridescence of the parent. Well captured.

Nice environmental image, good HA both parent and chick. I also like the blue sheen and detail in the spread tail feathers - good capture.

Flash looks great on the nest. The adult looks a bit bright. Love the sharpness and the view of the tail. A bit more head turn towards you would have worked well.
